MONTH OF DECEMBER 2011

IF YOU WANT TO READ FROM THE BEGINNING, MARCH 15, 2010 IS THE START OF MY DAILY BLOGS.

DECEMBER 1
I'm relieved that no significant snowfall has occurred yet. I love it when we make it almost to Christmas before the first major snowstorm. If I had my way, it would snow late on Christmas Eve and melt on January 1st. That would be the perfect winter for me.

DECEMBER 2
Now it's December, I'm sure that snow will soon be on its way. The days are getting colder. I think a lot about Ice Ages now. I've read Robert Felix's book, "Not by Fire, but by Ice." As we go into winter, I wonder about the predictions that Felix has made. The world is experiencing a drastic increase in precipitation, and that's all it takes to start an Ice Age.

I found the map that Oscar Magosci sent me many years ago. It shows the location of the under-the-lakebed UFO bases in The Great Lakes. I've written about my experiences at Cape Hurd on the Tobermory Peninsula, posting it April 5, 2010. I urge you to go back on this blog and read it. There are bases in Lake Ontario, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, and Lake Superior, but not in Lake Erie.

DECEMBER 4
I have to get to Lake Ontario to do some UFO viewing. I used to go there in the 1980's and early 90's and stand for hours on the shore near Niagara-on-the- Lake, watching lights materialize in the sky. I would meet Tom and Malcolm there, try to stay warm in the frigid night air, and excitedly watch as the lights would flare up, one after another. They were usually located just out from Grimsby, Ontario - about half-way across the lake. This is the area where witnesses have reported saucer-shaped crafts landing on a platform that suddenly rises to the water's surface.

Sometimes, we would see eight or more lights appear. They would stack up, two at a time, and fly off in different directions. There was never any sound from them. The predominate color was white, with the occasional orange one. A few were white with an orange aura. Frequently, we watched planes flying over the lights as they approached Toronto's airport. I always wondered what the pilots saw from their flight deck. Did their instruments record them?

Pearl Harbor! I wasn't around for this one. It happened in 1941, and I wasn't born until 1949.
From Wikipedia: The overall death toll reached 2403, including 68 civilians, and 1178 injured. Of the military personnel lost at Pearl Harbor, 1177 were from the Arizona. I didn't experience it in any way, so I don't feel much about it. I mourn the lives lost, though. Rest in Peace. Why is it that Peace is after death? We need it now!

DECEMBER 8
John Lennon was shot on this day in 1980. I can't believe it was 31 years ago! I don't remember where I was when I heard about it. In contrast to that, I know exactly where I was when Kennedy was killed. I was coming home from school and had stopped in at a corner store. There was a crowd of people who were listening, all ashen-faced and silent, to a radio report of the assassination. I was stunned! Why can I remember that and not remember where and what I was doing when I heard about John Lennon's murder? He was my second favorite Beatle. Paul was my first. George was my third, and Ringo held fourth place. I had Beatlemania, along with most of the planet. Today, I posted "Imagine" on Facebook and watched some YouTube videos of John.

I have to get back to making mental notes during the day. I don't write about everything I do or think, but I jot down interesting thoughts or events. I find it boring to read everyday lives of people. Some feel that they have to blog what they eat or watch on TV. Please spare me! It's more fascinating to be allowed a peek into their mental processes or follow them on their adventures. I love quirkiness in a person's personality - something that sets them apart from the norm.
